Too good not to post

I would normally not try to post two articles in a row from the same website, but this is too good not to:

Are we being “subverted”?

This is a scary type of article.  Over at The American Thinker, Andie Brownlow goes through the Soviet tactics of psychological warfare.

Is this happening here?  Is D.C. (regardless of party) doing it unwittingly or deliberately?  I guess that depends on how smart we think they really are.

Should D.C. be able to turn off your network?

Saw this story this morning from CNET.

“The language has changed but it doesn’t contain any real additional limits,” EFF’s Tien says. “It simply switches the more direct and obvious language they had originally to the more ambiguous (version)…The designation of what is a critical infrastructure system or network as far as I can tell has no specific process. There’s no provision for any administrative process or review. That’s where the problems seem to start. And then you have the amorphous powers that go along with it.”

Translation: If your company is deemed “critical,” a new set of regulations kick in involving who you can hire, what information you must disclose, and when the government would exercise control over your computers or network.” (emphasis mine)

Thought provoking food for thought

Bill Frezza has an article today at RealClearMarkets.com.

For example:

“Would you ever use the ballot box to force others to practice your religion or make them pay to build you a church? Why do you find it easy to do this with your economic beliefs, compelling others to foot the bill for the public policies you promote?”
