If Healthcare Is Considered a Right, what about Internet Access?

If high speed internet is a right:
Then so is having a computer.
And if having a computer is a right,
so is having a working computer.
And if you have to have a working computer,
you need to have technicians (or pc doctors) available to fix the computers.

So we need pc technician reform!!

People shouldn’t have to choose between a working computer and feeding their children due to the excessive profits demanded by geeks.
People shouldn’t have to go bankrupt because they had their identity stolen due to clicking on a pop-up.
For too long people have lived with the slow response of the start button!!

Now is the time to upgrade our future!!

This is a scary type of article. Over at The American Thinker, Andie Brownlow goes through the Soviet tactics of psychological warfare.

Is this happening here? Is D.C. (regardless of party) doing it unwittingly or deliberately? I guess that depends on how smart we think they really are.

Saw this story this morning from CNET.

“The language has changed but it doesn’t contain any real additional limits,” EFF’s Tien says. “It simply switches the more direct and obvious language they had originally to the more ambiguous (version)…The designation of what is a critical infrastructure system or network as far as I can tell has no specific process. There’s no provision for any administrative process or review. That’s where the problems seem to start. And then you have the amorphous powers that go along with it.”

Translation: If your company is deemed “critical,” a new set of regulations kick in involving who you can hire, what information you must disclose, and when the government would exercise control over your computers or network.” (emphasis mine)
