Then again…

This news article from Yahoo Finance tells us “The EPA on Friday declared that carbon dioxide and five other greenhouse gases sent off by cars and many industrial plants “endanger public health and welfare,” setting the stage for regulating them under federal clean air laws.”

So there we have it.  Science by fear and consensus.  Did we not learn from the persecution of those that said the earth was round or that it revolved around the sun?  Could you not say that 400 years ago “most scientists agree the earth is flat”?

I can see it now… “Dateline 1542, scientists in Italy decalare global state of emergency as the edge of the world may be shrinking due to cats.  World Governments call for action.”

And wait, don’t humans breathe out carbon dioxide?  Will we need to stop breathing?

Saw this link today (News And Observer.com) about Tom Tancredo being shouted down and removed for making the intellectual crime of… wait for it… talking.

Yes, he was talking.

How dare he!  Whether you agree with a person or not, what gives you the right to shout them down?  What “moral authority” do you have?  Plus, aren’t you the same people who claim that others are forcing their morals on you?

Have you thought about the logic in that?

So The Department of Homeland Security has released a document warning of the rise of “right wing extremism.”

Update 4/16 – Found the left wing assessment off of Foxnews.com.  Can you spot the differences?

The Wall Street Journal has posted an opinion piece from one of Europe’s wonderful socialists who decires that “Thatcherism and Reaganism have failed on a momenteous scale”.
